FC Bayern has signed three new players this summer and is essentially done with signings. However, the club in Munich will continue to keep an eye on the market for exciting opportunities.
After all, it’s not out of the question that they might make a preemptive move for a very interesting player who comes onto the market, provided all decision-makers agree to such a move.
As TEAMtalk now reports, FC Bayern is one of several clubs interested in a rising star from Ligue 1.
Bayern has Camara on their list
The player in question is Lamine Camara of AS Monaco, a central midfielder who has shown outstanding development in France. The 22-year-old is under contract with the Monegasques through the summer of 2029, so the southern French club is taking a relaxed approach to a potential transfer.
According to the report, Crystal Palace has even made an offer, but the 50 million euros the Eagles offered isn’t enough. This is partly because other, bigger names have now entered the fray. Bayern is said to be closely monitoring the situation, and Manchester United is also in the running.
Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG, and RB Leipzig—which now has entirely new resources following the sale of Yan Diomande—are also said to be interested. However, the Premier League seems to be the most realistic destination for Camara, as there is more than one club there that could meet Monaco’s demands.
For Bayern, a deal would likely be most interesting in the future—for example, if Monaco blocks all inquiries and the player returns to the market in 2027. After all, the club has just promoted Tom Bischof from within and signed Bara Sapoko Ndiaye—a player viewed as a long-term project whose impact cannot yet be fully predicted. The rumors do indicate, however, that Bayern is keeping a close eye on the market.
