Harry Kane is being awarded the Golden Boot for the second time. FC Bayern wants to celebrate its star striker’s achievement in a special way and is planning a major event at the Allianz Arena to mark the occasion.
Harry Kane has long since earned the status of an absolute superstar at FC Bayern. The Englishman has been a consistent goal-scorer since his move to Munich and once again posted exceptional numbers last season. For his 36 goals in the Bundesliga, the 33-year-old is now being awarded the Golden Shoe for the second time as Europe’s top scorer.
Kane is set to receive the trophy on August 19 at the FC Bayern Museum inside the Allianz Arena. Apparently, this will not be a typical award ceremony.
According to Sky, FC Bayern is planning a “grand spectacle” for its striker. The reason for this is the enormous respect Kane enjoys within the club. “The appreciation is immense,” the report stated.
In this way, the Munich club aims to provide its striker with a stage that does justice to his achievements over the past few years.
Kane Continues to Make Bayern History
With his second Golden Boot, Kane has definitively joined a very exclusive group. In the 2025–26 season, the Englishman scored 36 Bundesliga goals, thereby prevailing over the top scorers in Europe’s top leagues. He had already received the coveted award in his first season with Bayern, also with 36 goals.
Before Kane, only Gerd Müller and Robert Lewandowski had won the Golden Shoe as Bayern Munich players. Both were honored twice. Kane has now drawn level with these two great goal scorers from Munich’s past.
The recognition within the club is correspondingly high. President Herbert Hainer recently even placed the striker in the same league as the greatest forwards in the club’s history: “At FC Bayern, Harry Kane stands in the same league as scoring legends like Gerd Müller and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge—and he’s carrying on that scoring legacy into the present by taking the striker’s game to a new level.”
CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen also raved about Kane: “When Harry Kane plays, the whole world is watching. He has elevated FC Bayern and the Bundesliga to a new level.”
The event planned for August 19 should now also demonstrate to the outside world just how important Kane has become to the German record champions. The Golden Boot presentation is set to be broadcast once again via the digital channels of FC Bayern, the Bundesliga, and *kicker *.
Kane Wants to Extend His Contract with Bayern
The planned spectacle is particularly interesting in light of the Englishman’s future. According to Sky, Kane has already signaled to Bayern’s executives that he would like to extend his contract.

Following Kane’s return to Munich, talks about a new contract are set to move forward decisively. An extension through 2029 with no pay cut is on the table. Kane and his family reportedly feel very much at home in Munich.
Alongside the planned departures of players such as Joao Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza, the contract extension is currently one of the most important tasks for Bayern’s management. But even before the contract can be finalized, Kane will first take center stage at the Allianz Arena on August 19. With the planned “grand spectacle,” Bayern aims to show their star striker just how important he is to the club.
