For weeks, Aston Villa has been considered one of the most promising suitors for João Palhinha. The Portuguese international is among the players who no longer have a sporting future with the record champions. Palhinha remains open to various scenarios
The player’s stance is also likely to play a decisive role. Palhinha recently emphasized that he could, in principle, imagine staying in Munich and is willing to face the competition. At the same time, a transfer is still not ruled out.
According to information from BILD, the Portuguese international’s entourage continues to consider offers. However, a deal would require a comprehensive package that satisfies the midfielder both on the field and financially. Additionally, the prospects a new club can offer him are likely to be a decisive factor.
For FC Bayern, a sale remains the preferred solution. The Munich club wants to further reduce its payroll costs and generate additional transfer revenue. Palhinha is among the club’s top candidates for a summer sale. Whether the talks with Aston Villa in Hong Kong will actually yield the hoped-for breakthrough should become clear in the coming days.
