About a year after breaking his leg, Jamal Musiala is fighting his way back step by step. At the 2026 World Cup, it was clear that the attacking player was still far from the level of performance that had made him one of Europe’s best offensive players.
At the same time, competition at FC Bayern has become significantly more intense. With the signing of Ismael Saibari, the Munich club has added another creative attacking player to its roster. Hürriyet brings Galatasaray into the picture
Against this backdrop, the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet reports that Musiala has been offered to Galatasaray Istanbul on loan. However, the report does not provide any concrete details regarding possible talks between the clubs or the player.
There has been no confirmation from Germany or other sources so far. Accordingly, the speculation should be viewed with caution.
From FC Bayern’s perspective, there is currently little to suggest such a scenario. Club officials continue to view Musiala as one of the most important building blocks for the future. The national team player only recently signed a long-term contract extension in Munich in the spring of 2025 and is regarded within the club as one of its leading figures.
Vincent Kompany is also likely to continue to have great confidence in the 23-year-old. While Musiala will have to re-earn his spot in light of increased competition, the coach and club management are well aware of the attacking player’s potential.
Rather, the record champions’ plan is likely to be to carefully guide Musiala back to his top form following his long injury. Against this backdrop, a loan move—especially to Galatasaray—seems extremely unrealistic as things stand.
So far, there are no indications whatsoever that FC Bayern is considering such a move.
