FC Bayern has signed its first major summer acquisition in Ismael Saibari. With his transfer fee, the Moroccan national team player is immediately one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history.
FC Bayern has officially confirmed the signing of Ismael Saibari. The 25-year-old is moving from PSV Eindhoven to Munich and has signed a contract through 2031.
According to consistent media reports, the fixed transfer fee is 50 million euros. Performance-based bonus payments could increase the total package to as much as 55 million euros.
The guaranteed transfer fee alone is enough to catapult Saibari into the top 10 of Bayern’s most expensive transfers of all time.
Tied with Kim for seventh place
With a fixed transfer fee of 50 million euros, Saibari currently shares seventh place with Minjae Kim, who was signed from SSC Napoli in 2023.
Harry Kane continues to lead the internal ranking. In the summer of 2023, Munich paid Tottenham Hotspur approximately 95 million euros for the English striker.
They are followed by Lucas Hernández (80 million euros), Luis Díaz (70 million euros), and Matthijs de Ligt (67 million euros).
The signing of Saibari underscores Bayern’s strategy in the transfer market. After their failed bid for Anthony Gordon, the Munich club moved early to secure the Moroccan international, who further drew attention to himself with strong performances at the World Cup.
At the presentation, sporting director Max Eberl and director of sports Christoph Freund particularly highlighted Saibari’s versatility, intensity, and goal-scoring threat. The attacking player is set to join Vincent Kompany’s squad after the World Cup and add flexibility to the record champions’ offense.
