FC Bayern has long-term plans for Michael Olise and currently expects the French national team player to continue wearing the record champion’s jersey next season. In addition, club officials are working intensively on a contract extension.
As Sky reports , the Munich club wants to sign the attacking star to a new contract as soon as possible and, at the same time, make him one of the club’s top earners.
Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg explained: “Bayern are 100 percent certain that Olise will stay with them this summer. But they also know that he’s staying and is the top transfer target not only for Real Madrid—which is why Bayern want to extend his contract as soon as possible.”
The Munich club’s plan is clear: Olise is set to receive a new five-year contract and become the face of the team in the long term.
Bayern is working on a new mega-contract
However, the matter isn’t quite that simple.
According to Plettenberg, there is still no agreement between FC Bayern and the player regarding a contract extension. While talks are ongoing, a breakthrough has not yet been reached.
This is consistent with recent reports suggesting that Olise has not yet responded specifically to an initial, informal inquiry from Bayern at the beginning of the year.
Nevertheless, club officials remain optimistic and intend to press ahead with negotiations. After all, the Frenchman has long been one of the most important players in Vincent Kompany’s squad.
With his strong performances for FC Bayern and at the World Cup, Olise has further cemented his status as one of Europe’s most sought-after attacking players.
Real Madrid remains in the background
This is another reason why Real Madrid continues to play a role in the Bayern bosses’ deliberations.
Although the club had recently officially stated that there had been no contact whatsoever with Olise or his representatives, the Frenchman is still considered a top target in Madrid.
That is precisely why the Munich club wants to get things settled as early as possible. After all, a move to Madrid could once again become a hot topic next year.
Plettenberg said: “They want to offer him a new five-year contract that would make him one of the absolute top earners. But there is still no agreement between Bayern and Olise on the new contract. Bayern are working on it, because they know: By 2027, things could look very different when it comes to Real and Olise!”
Currently, there are no signs of an imminent departure. On the contrary: Bayern firmly expects the Frenchman to stay.
