This summer, Max Eberl and his team face the task of offloading some players from the roster to generate revenue. The focus is primarily on players on loan.
There is already interest in some of these players, and a concrete offer has even been made for one of them. That player is the young forward Jonah Kusi-Asare, who is on loan to Fulham FC.
The English club also holds a buy option for the tall striker, reportedly in the low double-digit millions. However, Fulham does not intend to exercise this option.
The reason: Although Kusi-Asare has made an impression in training, he hasn’t played much. Fulham sees potential in him but views the Swede more as a long-term project.
Bayern Rejects Offer for Striker
The offer from the Cottagers was recently discussed on the BILD podcast “Bayern Insider.” Reporters Christian Falk and Julian Agardi confirmed that the record champions have rejected FC Fulham’s initial offer.
The offer reportedly amounted to only three million euros. While it’s certainly conceivable that Bayern would accept a sum below the buyout clause, it wouldn’t be by such a significant margin.

Especially for young players who don’t earn high salaries to begin with, FC Bayern doesn’t want to accept the first offer that comes along. The pressure to sell players like Joao Palhinha or Sacha Boey is simply much greater overall.
However, Fulham is not expected to back down from the negotiations just yet. A second offer is anticipated, but it will have to be significantly better to lure the forward to London.
The Swede made only ten appearances for the first team, but in the reserve league he scored several goals and demonstrated his talent. Before his move to Fulham, he had already made his debut for FC Bayern’s first team.
