FC Bayern officials are currently working intensively on a transfer for Ismael Saibari. Talks with PSV are underway. Meanwhile, a teammate from the national team has a clear opinion on the midfielder’s future.
Saibari immediately made a name for himself in Morocco’s first World Cup match, scoring the opening goal for his country in a 1-1 draw against record-holding world champions Brazil.
He played quite impressively, showcasing some very good moves. This is further confirmation for FC Bayern and, above all, Vincent Kompany, who has singled out Saibari as his top transfer target.
Bayern move: Teammate backs Saibari
After Morocco’s World Cup opener, Bilal El Khannouss of VfB Stuttgart spoke to Sky not only about the conditions of the match but also about the future of his national teammate Saibari.
“We have a lot of quality, we have a lot of confidence, and we want to win every game—we show that on the field, too. But we also played against a top team, which is why we can be very satisfied,” the VfB pro initially explained after the draw against Brazil.

But then the conversation turned to Saibari. When asked if he had already spoken with him about a move to the Bundesliga, the attacking player said: “I’ll be honest: I’m not involved in other players’ careers.”
„He’s a good friend of mine, but that’s not an issue for us. I hope for him that he goes to a team like that, because he has the quality and deserves it. Of course, he has the chance to make his mark at a team like that. He’s an incredible player, and I hope for him that he can play for a big team. That’s why I hope it happens.”
For the record-breaking champions’ management, the priority now is to finalize the deal—which is in the range of just over 50 million euros—as soon as possible.
