A talented Bayern player has made significant gains in the Bundesliga 2 and will return to the record champions for the new season. The new market value classification makes his development even more interesting in Munich
Noel Aseko has made a huge leap in the current Bundesliga 2 rankings. According to Transfermarkt.de, the market value of the 21-year-old defensive midfielder has risen from €8 million to €12 million, which is an increase of 50 per cent
Aseko is now the second most valuable player in the league, ahead of Hertha’s Kennet Eichhorn, whose market value remains at 20 million euros. The 16-year-old central midfielder has made 19 appearances and scored two goals this season, and several top German clubs as well as clubs from Spain and England are said to be interested in him. FC Bayern in particular is said to have put out feelers for Eichhorn
Aseko gets his chance with Kompany

But Aseko’s development is also likely to be noticed in Munich. The German U21 international has been playing for Hannover since the winter of 2025. 96 signed him permanently from the German record champions for one million euros, but Bayern secured a buy-back option of 2.4 million euros. Munich have exercised this option in view of his development
Aseko has made his mark in the Bundesliga 2, scoring three goals and assisting a further six in 32 league games. He will now have to prove himself to Bayern coach Vincent Kompany in the summer preparations and fight for a role in the squad
The starting position in midfield could help him in this. Following the departure of Leon Goretzka, whose contract will not be renewed, Aseko can hope to make the leap into the squad. However, his future is not fixed. Another or even a permanent departure from Munich is also possible, in which case Hannover could play a role again alongside other clubs.
