It’s not just Ralf Rangnick who has recently turned FC Bayern down, Roberto De Zerbi and Roger Schmidt have also made it clear that they will not be available in the summer. Now Zinédine Zidane has commented on the ongoing Bayern rumours.

Zidane has been repeatedly linked as a possible successor to Tuchel at FC Bayern in recent weeks. In the meantime, reports have been circulating that the Frenchman is on the verge of signing a contract at Säbener Straße.

However, sporting director Max Eberl has denied this very clearly and revealed that there have not even been any talks between him and the 1998 world champion.

Zidane has no interest in the Bayern coaching job

The 51-year-old himself also appears to have no interest whatsoever in the coaching job at the German record champions. Zidane was at the Formula 1 in Miami at the weekend and was asked about the ongoing rumours. When he was asked by the Sky reporter whether he would be the new head coach at FC Bayern, the latter stated succinctly: „No“. Zidane added: „But I will watch the game“, referring to the upcoming Champions League second leg between Bayern and Real Madrid.

The ex-Real coach is keeping his fingers crossed for his former club: „Hopefully Madrid will progress. But it will be a difficult game.“
