Alphonso Davies has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time now. For a long time, the 23-year-old Canadian was considered an absolute dream transfer for the Whites. However, it has now been announced that the Spanish club have decided against signing him.

Alphonso Davies‘ move to Real Madrid, which was thought to be certain, is in danger of being cancelled. As the Spanish portal Relevo reports, the signing of the left-back is no longer a priority. The fact that negotiations with Bayern could become very complicated in the summer also appears to be putting off those responsible at Real.

According to Relevo, Real are now focusing more on their central defence and want to rejuvenate it. With French youngster Leny Yoro, they have already identified a player they want. FC Bayern are also rumoured to be interested in the 18-year-old defensive gem.

However, a Davies transfer is not completely off the table. The 23-year-old is still on the Madrilenians‘ list, albeit no longer at the top. Should Ferland Mendy leave Real, the Davies case could heat up again.

Bayern extension still up in the air

What will happen to Davies in the summer is completely open. His contract with FCB expires in 2025. Munich would like to extend it, but only under certain (financial) conditions.

Head of Sport Max Eberl recently confirmed that Davies has received a concrete offer. A short time later, his advisor made it clear that the 23-year-old’s sporting future would only be considered after the end of the season. Among other things, when the new Bayern coach has been finalised.

Rumours have recently been circulating that Manchester City are also interested in Davies alongside Real. If the deal is not extended in Munich, FCB will push for a sale in the summer. According to reports, the pain threshold for this is just under 50 million euros.

  1. HAHAHAHAHA…..was ein Clown.
