FC Bayern recently had to do without captain Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sané. The two were also on the sidelines for the quarter-final second leg against Arsenal. Thomas Tuchel has now provided an update on the FCB duo.

Good news for FC Bayern. Just in time for the Champions League second leg against FC Arsenal, two of Munich’s key players, Manuel Neuer and Leroy Sané, have returned to fitness.

Neuer and Sané were out injured last weekend in Bayern’s 2-0 win over 1. FC Köln. While Neuer had adductor problems, Sané has been struggling with a pubic bone irritation for some time.

According to Thomas Tuchel, Bayern will be involved in tomorrow’s quarter-final second leg against Arsenal: „Manu can play. Leroy can also play, but he’ll have to grit his teeth, just like in recent weeks,“ explained the 50-year-old at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday.

The Munich head coach made it clear that Sané is not at 100 per cent: „Due to the personnel situation, with Coman and Gnabry unable to play, he has to hold out as long as possible.“

The winger has had problems with his pubic bone for months and has to take frequent breaks.

  1. Hoffentlich erwischt Sane trotz Beeinträchtigung wie im Hinspiel noch mal einen kleinen Anfall von Genialität. Danach auskurieren, in der BL dem Nachwuchs eine Chance geben.
