Müller plans to end his career in 2025 – Bayern wants to offer him a new job

Thomas Müller’s contract with FC Bayern runs until 2025, after which the international player’s active career will apparently come to an end. FCB would then like to integrate the original Bavarian into the club in another role.



When extending his contract with FC Bayern until 2025, Thomas Müller emphasised that the Champions League final in Munich’s Allianz Arena this year is a special attraction for him. Should FCB reach this final, it could be Müller’s last game in the jersey of the German record champions.

According to kicker, the coming season will in all likelihood be Müller’s farewell tour. According to the report, another season as an active professional is not planned.

Instead, FC are trying to integrate the 34-year-old into the club in another role. The report does not specify which job this could be.

Will Müller become coach?

However, Müller is already doing a lot on and off the pitch. Is the 2014 world champion perhaps aiming for a career as a coach? If so, he could possibly gain his first experience in Bayern’s youth programme. He is already actively looking after the young talents in the Bayern team. His relationship with Jamal Musiala is already legendary, and youngster Mathys Tel also raved about how Müller took care of his integration at FCB.

Should his active career really come to an end in the summer of 2025, Müller can definitely look back on a great career. he played his first match for the FC Bayern professionals in 2008. Since then, he has won the Champions League twice, the FIFA Club World Cup twice, the UEFA Supercup twice, the German Championship twelve times, the DFB Cup six times and the German Supercup eight times with the club.
