In FC Bayern’s search for a coach, the pool of candidates has apparently narrowed down to three coaches. The opinions of those responsible seem to differ most on one of them.

The FC Bayern bosses have apparently contacted three coaches in their search for a new coach. According to kicker, Ralf Rangnick, Julian Nagelsmann and Roberto De Zerbi – or rather their managements – have already been spoken to.

According to the report, there are supporters and doubters at the top of the club for each of this trio of coaches. According to the report, the opinions of the decision-makers differ the most when it comes to one coach: Julian Nagelsmann.

For the current coach, the task would be a return: Nagelsmann would succeed his own successor. The 36-year-old was released by Bayern in March 2023. He was succeeded by Thomas Tuchel, who in turn must now leave the club at the end of the current season.

Language barrier a problem with De Zerbi?

According to kicker, the next candidate, De Zerbi from Brighton & Hove Albion, raises the question of whether he is really ready for a top club like FC Bayern. There is also the language barrier.

The Bayern bosses are therefore not only interested in the dressing room speeches or training management, but also in the dialogue with the club management and the club’s environment. Ideally, this should take place without an interpreter.

According to the report, the new Bayern coach should once again „identify 100 per cent with the club, its values and its DNA“.

This is another reason why the supervisory board will be very decisive in the decision on the new coach of the German record champions.

The new coach will be involved in the planning of the squad and will also give his opinion on potential new additions and departures.
