Alongside Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sané’s contract with FC Bayern also expires in the summer of 2025. The 28-year-old winger has recently emphasised that he feels very much at home in Munich and is still pursuing big goals with FCB. As has now become known, Bayern want to make the German international a contract offer soon. According to reports, the German international is threatened with a pay cut.

As reported by Sport BILD, sporting director Max Eberl will begin contract talks with Leroy Sané in the near future. So far, however, there have been no concrete negotiations. However, the starting shot is to be fired in April.

Sane himself only recently signalled his willingness to stay with the record champions beyond 2025: „I feel very, very comfortable in Munich, I have goals with the club,“ he emphasised last week when asked about his sporting future.

According to the newspaper, Munich are prepared in principle to offer Sané a new contract. Even though he has been in a form slump for months, the Bayern bosses are positively impressed by his work ethic, improved attitude and openness towards the club.

Is Sané prepared to accept financial losses?

Interesting: According to information from Sport BILD, the new Sané contract will not include a salary increase. Quite the opposite: those responsible are considering offering Sané a new contract with a lower salary. With a rumoured salary of around 20 million euros, the attacking player is currently one of the top earners at the Isar. This could soon change.

The reform of the salary structure is therefore part of the upheaval at the German record champions. Bayern have been relatively generous with contract extensions in recent years. This is now set to end. Those responsible are also very strict when it comes to salary in the contract poker with Alphonso Davies.
