Alphonso Davies has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time now. Even though his advisor recently denied that no agreement had been reached with the Spanish club, the rumours have not stopped. However, it has now been revealed that the Whites are being very sparing with Davies in terms of the transfer fee.

The contract poker between Bayern and Alphonso Davies is entering the hot phase. According to Max Eberl, the Canadian has received a „very attractive“ offer. However, the left-back is reluctant to sign the new five-year contract.

According to consistent media reports, this is mainly due to the key financial figures. While FCB is said to be offering around 14 million euros, the player is reportedly demanding just under 20 million.

One thing is clear: if there is no extension, they will part ways in the summer. Bayern bosses have categorically ruled out a transfer-free departure in 2025.

Bayern and Real are far apart when it comes to Davies‘ transfer fee

There is already a potential buyer for the Canadian international in Real Madrid. Even though Real and Bayern have not yet entered into any negotiations, an agreement in the summer seems very unlikely. According to Sky, Munich are demanding between 50-60 million euros for the full-back. Too much for Madrid.

According to Spanish transfer insider Josep Pedrerol, Real’s financial pain threshold is just 20-25 million euros. In view of the player’s current market value of 70 million euros, this would be an absolute dumping price.

The problem: Bayern do not have a good starting position in the transfer poker. The relatively short duration of Davies‘ contract plays into the hands of Real and the player himself. According to reports, Davies is prepared to sit out his contract at FCB and only move to Madrid in 2025. The Spanish record champions are also open to this scenario.
