Is Franck Ribery returning to FC Bayern? According to the latest reports, the Frenchman is leaving Italian first division club Salernitana and returning to Munich.

According to Sky Italia, the 40-year-old has decided to leave his job as technical coach at US Salernitana. According to the report, Ribery wants to move the centre of his life back to the Bavarian capital, where his family lives.

According to Sky, the change of coach at Salernitana is largely responsible for Ribery’s decision. With Stefano Colantuono, the relegation-threatened Serie A club presented a new head coach this week.

Ribery hopes for coaching job at Bayern campus

According to reports, Ribery could take up a job at the Bayern campus and work as a coach in the youth programme as part of his return to Munich. The German newspaper kicker recently reported that Ribery is hoping for a coaching job at the German record champions.

The former France international has held a UEFA B licence since October 2023, which allows him to coach amateur teams and youth teams up to the age of 16. This licence also allows him to work as an assistant coach at a professional club.
