With the arrival of Max Eberl, the reorganisation of FC Bayern’s management team is complete. The new Bayern bosses are now said to have set themselves the task of reorganising the salary policy. This might not please some of Munich’s stars.

As reported by Sky, those responsible at Bayern are aiming for a new salary policy for the club. The plan is to equalise the players‘ salaries in future and thus ensure a flat hierarchy in the squad.

According to reports, exorbitant salary increases are to be avoided in the future. In the past, Bayern stars have often received significant increases as part of contract extensions.

No big pay rises for Kimmich, Davies & Co.

This is unlikely to please the Munich players in particular, whose contracts are due to expire shortly. One of the first to suffer from this change could be leading player Joshua Kimmich. The 29-year-old’s contract is still valid until 2025. In a good season for the defensive midfielder, in which he maximises his playing time, Kimmich reportedly earns around 20 million euros a year.

A lot of money for a player who has long since ceased to be regarded as unrivalled in the Bavarian capital. Kimmich’s high salary could therefore become a selling point in the future. Meanwhile, a salary increase is currently completely out of the question.

The new salary policy will also be applied to full-back Alphonso Davies, whose contract also expires in 2025. According to reports, the Canadian is demanding a mega salary for a contract extension, which Munich are unwilling to pay, particularly in view of the left-back’s fluctuating performances. Leroy Sane (contract 2025) is also affected by Munich’s new salary policy.
