The future of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is still a hotly debated topic. While reports of a possible agreement with Real Madrid have been doing the rounds, it now seems more likely that he will stay in Munich.

FC Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently expressed his optimism regarding a contract extension for Davies. „It’s not unlikely at all,“ Freund commented on the talks about continuing their collaboration. According to Freund, Davies feels „very, very comfortable“ in Munich and enjoys playing for the record champions. These statements give fans hope that Davies could continue to wear the Bayern jersey beyond 2025.

Josep Pedrerol, a well-known Spanish reporter, recently expressed little optimism about Davies moving to Real Madrid on the talk show El Chiringuito. He emphasised that no talks had yet taken place between the two clubs and that Real Madrid were keeping a close eye on Davies‘ injury history. The Whites are interested in Davies, but an astronomical transfer fee is not conceivable for them. Pedrerol believes a transfer fee of €40 million is realistic if Davies refuses to extend his contract in Munich.

Davies advisor: „There is no agreement with any club“

Davies‘ advisor Nedal Huoseh recently contradicted reports that an agreement had already been reached with Real Madrid. In an interview with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he clarified: „There is no agreement or anything concrete with any club.“ Davies‘ focus is currently fully on FC Bayern Munich.

The Canadian is currently trying to fight his way back into his regular place at FC Bayern. Following a number of injuries, Portugal’s Raphaël Guerreiro has been favoured as left-back by coach Thomas Tuchel in recent matches.
