With the appointment of Max Eberl as the new Head of Sport, FC Bayern has finally completed its management reorganisation. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, the long-standing chairman of the board, has now announced that he and Uli Hoeneß would like to give the new management team a little help to get started.

Just a few months ago, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Uli Hoeneß were fully involved in the day-to-day business at FC Bayern and part of the so-called transfer task force. Both had recently announced that they would return to the second tier in future. FCB will be fully operational again at the latest when new sporting director Max Eberl takes office.

Rummenigge is absolutely convinced of the new sporting leadership around Eberl, sports director Christoph Freund and CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen: „The club is now well positioned for the future,“ analysed Rummenigge, who continues to sit on FC Bayern’s supervisory board, in the TOMorrow Business & Style podcast.

„You still have to accompany the whole thing a little at the beginning“

Even though Freund, Eberl and Dreesen all have a great deal of experience in the industry, Rummenigge said that he and Hoeneß will help them get started: „In the beginning, you have to accompany the whole thing a bit,“ he said, adding: „Then they have to swim, and they will swim without the lifebelt of Uli Hoeneß or Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.“
