Bayern scouts are travelling all over Europe looking for promising talents. According to the latest reports, FCB have now found what they are looking for in Portugal. The Munich club have set their sights on 20-year-old defensive gem Antonio Silva.

Accordingto reports in the Portuguese sports newspaper Record, FC Bayern have already sent scouts to watch Silva in action on several occasions. According to the paper, the Munich club could begin concrete talks with the player in the coming months in order to lure the talented defender to the Isar.

Silva, who has been part of Benfica Lisbon’s starting line-up for a year and a half, has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most promising centre-backs in Europe. His current contract with the Portuguese capital club runs until 2027.

Release clause is 100 million euros

However, with a release clause of 100 million euros, Silva is no bargain. Even if Bayern could get the youngster a little cheaper, they would still have to dig deep into their pockets to sign him. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value at 45 million euros.

The young international has already aroused the interest of several top European clubs. In addition to FC Bayern, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest in the Portuguese.
