Ryan Gravenberch is one of the biggest midfield talents in European football. However, the Dutch newcomer has not yet been able to live up to FC Bayern’s expectations. Due to the lack of playing time, a departure for the 20-year-old would also be conceivable. Now, two other top clubs from England, Arsenal and Manchester United, are interested in Gravenberch.

Ryan Gravenberch had a very different idea of his early days in Munich. The former top performer from Ajax Amsterdam is currently no more than a reserve player at FC Bayern. Although the Dutchman made 26 appearances in his debut season at the German record champions, he was only on the pitch for the full 90 minutes twice. Too little, if Gravenberch has his way.

The 20-year-old has recently addressed his displeasure about his limited playing time in interviews and expressed his disappointment. He recently told the portal „Ajax Showtime“: „I had definitely hoped and also expected that I would play more at FC Bayern. So far it hasn’t gone as expected.“

Arsenal and United are monitoring Gravenberch’s situation at FC Bayern

Not only under Julian Nagelsmann, but also with new coach Thomas Tuchel, nothing has changed yet in terms of the Dutchman’s playing time. Although Gravenberch played in two of the three games under Tuchel, the 20-year-old was only on the pitch for a total of 17 minutes. This difficult situation for Ryan Gravenberch is also causing a stir at other top European clubs. Last winter, there were already initial rumours that the midfielder could soon leave Bayern again. In addition to Liverpool FC as a major interested party, Arsenal FC and Manchester are now also interested in Gravenberch.

According to Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners are also keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old’s current situation. However, there have not yet been any negotiations between the player and Arsenal. Moreover, it is questionable whether Ryan Gravenberch would prevail against the renowned competition such as Odegaard, Partey & Co.

The portal „Foot Mercator“ has also learned that United are still interested in the Dutchman. The Red Devils were already interested in the midfielder in the summer of 2022.

From Munich’s point of view, it remains to be seen how Bayern coach Tuchel plans to deal with the Dutch talent in the future. However, if there is no change in his playing time so far, Gravenberch has recently made it clear that an early departure from the Isar is not unthinkable for him.
