At his first press conference as Bayern coach, Thomas Tuchel immediately made it clear that he would like to strengthen his coaching team with Anthony Barry. The problem: The Englishman is still under contract with Chelsea FC. Now there is news regarding negotiations between the Blues and the FCB.

Tuchel and Barry already worked together successfully at Stamford Bridge, which is why the 49-year-old would like to complete his „old“ coaching team again at Säbener Straße. After the Bayern coach announced that he wanted to sign Barry, media reports emerged that Chelsea FC was not satisfied with the statements made in public. Apparently, negotiations between the 2021 Champions League winners and the German champions are now proving difficult.

Thus, the „BILD“ reports that Bayern has made a six-figure offer for Anthony Barry, which was rejected by Chelsea. According to the report, however, what at first glance looks like normal negotiations could now have a lasting impact on the relationship between the two top clubs.

Report: Bayern want to draw consequences for Nagelsmann negotiations in the summer

According to the report, the Munich club will not forget that if there will be further negotiations around a possible Blues signing of Julian Nagelsmann. Further it is said that they are aware at Säbener Straße that Chelsea usually pays high transfer fees for coaches.

Frank Lampard will be on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge until the summer, but according to media reports, the Londoners then want to sign a new coach and build a long-term project. Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique in particular are said to be the favorites among the Chelsea managers. The former, however, is still under contract with FC Bayern until 2026, which is why an agreement would have to be reached with the German record champion on a transfer fee.
