Good news are not stopping for Bayern fans this October. After months of speculation about the future of Lucas Hernandez, „Kicker“ reports that the 26-year-old Frenchman is expected to stay in Munich for a long time and that his contract will be extended soon.
His current contract expires in 2024 and the club is in constant contact with his agent. Bayern wants to have Lucas, Upamecano, and De Ligt as their defense for the future, and the player is valued really highly in the club.
He always mentioned how he loves life in Germany and that the whole mentality of the club fits his character and it is almost destined that he will spend the rest of his prime years in Bayern. He finally declared himself as a crucial part of the defense and proved why the club made him the most expensive signing in their history.
Further talks are expected to take place after the World Cup and all of this is expected to be done during the season, but the board has raised their efforts to have this done as soon as possible.
