Tanguy Nianzou is on verge of development as a young player and expected more playing minutes this season.

Recently, reports have been circulating that Nianzou could leave the record champions on loan. According to the French „L’Equipe“, there are two Bundesliga clubs such Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig that are interested in the 20-year-old central defender.

Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann, despite his criticism towards the players‘ clumsy mistakes, ruled out a departure nor a loan for Tanguy a couple of weeks ago: „Loaning Tanguy is not an option. He will definitely stay with us. He developed well in the second half of the season. He’s firmly planned in my head and will play a role.“

Although Nagelsmann plans with Nianzou, a departure in the summer is not completely impossible. German journalist Florian Plettenberg from Sky Germany reports that Nianzou can prove himself in the summer pre-season which will start in a few weeks. However, the France U20 international needs regular match practice at the highest level to develop.

At Bayern Munich, the youngster has to be content with a substitute role. In the past season, he made 22 appearances but was on the pitch for an average of less than 40 minutes.

Nianzou’s future will reportedly not be decided until August. It cannot be ruled out that the club and the player will reach a mutual agreement over a loan move. According to „Sky“, there have been several interested parties who have already contacted the player.
