Joshua Kimmich has become one of the best and most important players for Bayern Munich since he joined. Now, the German international is said to play an even more important role in the coming season, thanks to Julian Nagelsmann.

For many fans, media and experts, Kimmich is the designated successor to Manuel Neuer and future Bayern captain.

According to „Sport BILD“, the midfielder will have more influence starting from the next season, despite not being a captain.

Nagelsmann and Kimmich have a very close relationship. SportBild claims that Kimmich will have more power in the team and in the club in the coming season and will become an even more important player on and off the pitch.

Kimmich and Nagelsmann are also in regular contact during the summer break. The Bayern coach maintains an even closer relationship with the 27-year-old than with the two other captains Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller.

Players and coach appreciate each other. According to „Sport BILD“, Kimmich will be the focus in the future and lead the team. Nagelsmann exchanges ideas with the midfielder about his plans, which the German international likes very much, as he wants a coach with a plan and ideas.

Kimmich has apparently been critical of coaches like Niko Kovac or Carlo Ancelotti internally in the past. With Nagelsmann, however, this should not be the case.

Although Kimmich is already one of the best midfielders in the world, Nagelsmann still sees potential for development in him. The Bayern coach wants to work with Kimmich in the future, especially on the points of ball recovery, counter-pressing and combination passes in the last third.
