After two disappointing seasons at Bayern Munich and not getting any playing time, Marc Roca is now ready to take the next step in his career. According to reports, he is on verge of joining Leeds United.

The 2019 U21 European Champion with Spain joined Bayern in the autumn of 2020 for a sum of 10 million euros. Although the transfer was met with a lot of excitement by the Bayern fans, the Spaniard, unfortunately, did not live up to the expectations. He barely made it to the starting XI under Hansi Flick and has not been considered by Julian Nagelsmann either. At the start of the season, Nagelsmann also left him out of the squad several times.

Since joining Bayern Munich in September 2020, Roca has only been able to play 24 matches, in which he played only 974 minutes in 18 months at the club. It was fortunate for Bayern that they bought Roca on a very small price, considering that they were also after him in the summer of 2019. At the time, Roca’s release clause was 40 million euros.

With all that said, Marc Roca is now ready to take the next step in the summer. According to reports from Spain and England, Leeds United are currently in pole position to sign the Spaniard. In Spain, however, the deal has already been done.

According to Barcelona’s local transfer insider Toni Juanmarti, Bayern Munich will receive a fee of 12 million euros plus bonuses for Roca. Roca will sign a four-year contract with the English club. The deal is set to be announced this week.
