Only the announcement from Bayern Munich was left to be done after several public statements from Ryan Gravenberch and Hasan Salihamidzic. The club has now announced the signing of the Dutch midfielder on a 5 year contract.

Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the transfer as follows: „Ryan Gravenberch will give our team a lot. He’s one of the greatest talents in Europe, has excellent technique, always finds solutions in the smallest spaces, he is very dynamic and a goal-scoring threat. The fact that he chose FC Bayern shows that he is convinced of our club and our opportunities. We love players with that mentality. We are convinced that we will celebrate a lot of success with him.”

The young Dutchman is looking forward to the new challenge at the club: „When FC Bayern called me, I didn’t have to think twice. FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs there is, players from all over the world want to play for this club.
I came to Munich to win many titles – and FC Bayern are used to winning many titles. Anything is possible with this club, including winning the Champions League. The unity in this team is powerful, I like that.“

According to reports, Bayern will pay around 25 million euros for the Dutch international including addons. In addition, Ajax is said to have secured a percentage stake in a resale of 7.5 percent.
