Liverpool reject Bayern „disrespectful“ offer for Sadio Mane

Although Bayern Munich are in personal agreement with Sadio Mane, the negotiations with Liverpool have not been easy. So far, the English club has refused two offers from the Bavarians. The latest one has apparently become quite a joke of an offer.

Bayern have made a second offer for Sadio Mané, which is higher than the first but in no way lives up to the English FA Cup winners‘ demands. Bayern are said to offer 23.5 million pounds for the Senegalese. While the sum could increase to £30m (€35m), that will only happen if Bayern become Champions League winners and Mané wins the Ballon d’Or. Not exactly scenarios to count on in Liverpool.

The Reds are said to have even labeled the offer as „ridiculous“ and made it clear to the Bavarians that they didn’t even have to come up with such bids.

The angry Liverpool sports director Julian Ward has made it clear that they will only take the negotiations serious if Bayern matches an offer that goes to their desired price of 50 m euro. According to Bild, Hasan Salihamidzic, who declared the Mané transfer to be a top priority, wanted to fly to Liverpool and speak personally with Liverpool. However, Liverpool FC has instructed the sporting director to first make a reasonable offer before a meeting is worthwhile.
