Ajax Amsterdam’s midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich for weeks now. The head coach of the Dutch club, Erik ten Hag has now spoken about the possible transfer.

According to reliable sources in the Netherlands, Bayern Munich have submitted an official offer for Ryan Gravenberch. It should not take a while until the move is official. The 19 years old is supposed to be the replacement for Corentin Tolisso, who will leave as a free agent in the summer.

About the possible transfer of Gravenberch to Bayern, the former Bayern Munich amateur coach and current Ajax coach, Erik ten Hag, has now spoken. The Dutch coach thinks that it would be a good move for Gravenberch, but advises him to be careful about the high competition in the midfield in Munich.

„It would certainly be tough for him because there’s a lot of competition at Bayern. But he’s also the kind of guy who needs challenges“, ten Hag told ‚SPORT1‘. Nevertheless, ten Hag is confident that Gravenberch has the qualities to succeed at Bayern: „He can certainly adapt to such a high level of quality as at Bayern“

Bayern have been very insisting on Gravenberch, and have been fighting for his signing for weeks already. Ten Hag can also see the reason why. For a 19 years old, Gravenberch has made quite a few achievements.

„Ryan [Gravenberch] is a young player, but he has already gained a lot of experience. He has already played over 100 games in the Eredivisie, has played in the Champions League, and has been called up for the national team“, claims ten Hag.
