The squad depth quality problem has always been present over the past couple of years. The coaches who have been here had always pointed out the need for transfers. Recently, Hansi Flick left Bayern Munich due to differences with sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic and the doubts over the squad quality.

Although Julian Nagelsmann’s relationship with Hasan Salihamidzic is so far doing great, the coach is not pretending that the squad’s quality is top-notch for the top level. According to ‚SPORT1‘, Nagelsmann is not satisfied with the quality of the squad that the Bayern board has provided to him.

According to Nagelsmann, the gap between the regular players and bench quality is increasingly becoming bigger and more obvious. The coach argues, that the reason why he is hardly rotating is also due to the lack of quality coming off the bench.

Several players lack playing minutes

Recently against Hoffenheim, Marcel Sabitzer and Choupo Moting came on for Thomas Müller and Jamal Musiala in the 80th minute, which shows a lot the lack of trust that Nagelsmann has in the squad. An astounding fact also, is that seven outfield players from the professional squad have each played no more than 600 minutes in all competitions this season.

The likes of Bouna Sarr and Marc Roca, are major sales candidates for this summer. According to ‚Sport1, clubs from Italy and France are interested, notably Venice and Sarr’s former club Olympique Marseille. For Marc Roca, the club vetoed his departure in winter, but the coaching staff is not 100% convinced of his qualities.
