The 22 years old goalkeeper is yet to make his debut at Bayern Munich despite being in the first-team squad since 2017. With everything that has happened, the young man is doubting his future. According to reports, Früchtl wants to leave the club.

According to „SPORT1“, Christian Früchtl is likely to leave Bayern next summer. The young goalkeeper hasn’t been able to receive any minutes for years now and wants to look for a new challenge. According to reports, talks are to be held with the board and potential new clubs from Germany and abroad in the coming weeks. Früchtl experienced a disappointing loan spell at 1. FC Nürnberg last season where he did not receive any playing minutes. For now, Früchtl has been trusted more in the amateur and youth teams.

Schenk and Schneller to replace Früchtl

As „SPORT1“ have reported, the German record champions want to find an internal solution for the new number three. The 19-year-old Johannes Schenk is said to have made a good impression on Julian Nagelsmann’s coaching team. Lukas Schneller also seems to be a candidate as Früchtl’s successor. The latter recently extended his contract to 2024.

What’s next for the current number two, Sven Ulreich? Most recently, the 33-year-old keeper said: „I’m at an age where you don’t do too many experiments anymore. That’s why my priority is to talk to Bayern.“

According to „Sky“, Bayern are still interested in Arminia Bielefeld’s Stefan Ortega,  whose contract expires next summer. Discussions with Ulreich are said not to have started yet. The future is still open for Alexander Nübel, which shows that there will be a lot going on in the goalkeeping position at Bayern in the summer.
