FC Bayern could not manage more than a draw against FC Augsburg on Matchday 5 of the Bundesliga. The game ended 2–2. Here are the FCBinside individual player ratings for the Bayern stars.
Manuel Neuer: What a blunder—giving up the 0–1 goal in less than nine seconds! After a back pass immediately following the kickoff, Neuer lost the ball to Fellhauer, who slotted it home to make it 1–0 for the hosts. Neuer also looked really bad on the second goal. On Brackelmann’s shot, the 40-year-old fumbled the ball right into the path of Ribeiro, who, unmarked, scored to make it 2-1 for FCA. Neuer was a total disaster. Grade: 6.
Josip Stanisic: Had a pretty weak first half: Stanisic played a terrible misplaced pass and fumbled a ball out of bounds. In the second half, however, the Croatian international was quite solid until he was substituted. Grade: 4.
Jonathan Tah: He lacked his usual composure. Tah won only 25 percent of his tackles. That’s not good enough. Grade: 4.
Dayot Upamecano: He was better than Tah, but not entirely convincing either. Overall, though, Upamecano’s performance was acceptable. Grade: 3.
Alphonso Davies: Put in a solid performance on the left side of defense and repeatedly tried to push forward. Steady. Grade: 3.
Joshua Kimmich: Was the catalyst for the 1-1 equalizer: Kimmich’s chip pass found Kane, who then set up Saibari for the goal. The national team captain played several good, long balls. Decent performance. Grade: 3.
Aleksandar Pavlovic: His passing accuracy was good as always, but Pavlovic was unable to make an impact in Bayern’s midfield. He looked better with the national team. Grade: 4.
Michael Olise: He tried hard, but couldn’t shine as much this time as he has in many previous games this season. Grade: 3.
Ismael Saibari: He had one shot from a good position but sent the ball just wide. Then Dahmen was able to stop his left-footed shot. Saibari later scored the 1-1 equalizer for Bayern off an assist from Kane: After a fine first touch, the Moroccan placed the ball precisely into the left corner. Overall, a solid performance. Grade: 2.

Luis Diaz: Was largely invisible for much of the first half. Then he seemed to find his rhythm: Diaz scored with a bicycle kick—but the goal didn’t count due to a previous offside call. After that, Diaz’s next goal was disallowed, also due to an offside call. In the second half, Diaz created danger on several occasions but was unable to reward himself with a goal. Grade: 3.
Harry Kane: Was virtually nonexistent for the entire first half—until his huge chance seconds before the halftime whistle. But after a pass from Pavlovic, the superstar hit only the top of the crossbar. His assist to Saibari before the 1-1 equalizer was excellent. Kane also set up Brown’s 2-2 goal brilliantly. Grade: 2.
Substitutes:
Serge Gnabry (67’ for Saibari): Put the ball in the net, but the goal didn’t count because Kane, who set it up, was offside. Then Gnabry hit the post in the closing minutes. And once again, Gnabry appeared to put the ball over the line, but he was offside yet again. Gnabry was a bit unlucky; this afternoon could have turned out differently for him. Rating: 3.
Nathaniel Brown (67′ for Stanisic): Took over the right side of defense from Stanisic. Scored the crucial equalizer to make it 2–2: After great work from Kane, the national team player scored his first Bundesliga goal for Bayern. A solid performance off the bench! Grade: 2.

Lennart Karl (87′ for Diaz): Came on too late to be evaluated.
Tom Bischof (87th minute, for Pavlovic): Came on too late to be rated.
