After the international break, FC Bayern returns to Bundesliga action on Saturday. On Matchday 5, the German record champions will face FC Augsburg on the road. Kickoff at the WWK-Arena is at 3:30 p.m.
No major changes are expected in the Munich side’s starting lineup. Vincent Kompany has already hinted that he plans to stick largely with his tried-and-true formation following the international break.
Manuel Neuer will be in goal. In front of him, a back four consisting of Konrad Laimer, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, and Alphonso Davies is likely to start once again. The Canadian did not play for Canada during the international break and should therefore be well-rested going into the match.
There are no surprises in store in midfield either. Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlovic are expected to start together again in the holding midfield roles.
Gnabry the favorite for the number 10 spot
The most intriguing question is who will fill the attacking midfield position. Jamal Musiala is out with a thigh muscle injury, leaving a gap at the number 10 spot.
Serge Gnabry is currently the most likely option. The 31-year-old is expected to take the spot behind Harry Kane upon his return to the squad. However, the race doesn’t seem to be completely decided yet.

Lennart Karl and Ismael Saibari are also potential alternatives. Another option would be to move Michael Olise into the center and fill the right wing with someone else.
Luis Díaz is expected to play on the left, while Olise would normally start on the right. Up front, there’s simply no getting around Harry Kane.
