Jamal Musiala continues to make his way back to normalcy following his health issues. There’s also positive news on the medical front.
Things are clearly looking up for Jamal Musiala right now, and not just on the field. There also appears to be a very encouraging development regarding the health issues that had severely affected the 23-year-old during preseason.
As Sport BILD reports, Musiala has now regained control of his so-called absence seizures. The change in his medication made at the end of August has worked as hoped. Previously, the Bayern star had collapsed twice during preseason due to loss of consciousness resulting from neurological dysfunction.
Life is now returning to normal for the national team player. This was most recently evident on the field: In Bayern Munich’s 7-0 victory over Union Berlin, Musiala played the full 90 minutes for the first time this season. He scored the opening goal and also set up Michael Olise’s strike to make it 3-0.
Musiala Declines Special Treatment
Medically, the 23-year-old continues to receive close monitoring. At FC Bayern, team doctor Dr. Jochen Hahne is one of his most trusted advisors, according to Sport BILD. Hahne treats Musiala not only at the record-holding champions but also during his time with the national team and is in regular contact with the neurologists responsible for his medication dosage. Bayern team doctor Dr. Peter Ueblacker is also involved in the process.
Musiala himself is open about his situation. His Bayern teammates have known about it for months. According to the report, shortly before the World Cup, he also personally informed his teammates on the national team about the issue. He explained to them what happens during a potential seizure and how they should react afterward. New players at FC Bayern are now also being informed accordingly.

});
})();
In his daily training routine, however, Musiala wants to be treated as normally as possible. He completes all training sessions and does not require any special treatment. There is no specific training regimen for his condition. In his free time, the attacking star has also taken up golf to clear his head.
Musiala is also set to continue gaining playing time with the DFB. Along with Serge Gnabry, Nico Schlotterbeck, and Finn Dahmen, he is one of four players expected to feature in all four Nations League matches throughout the extended international break. Musiala is in regular contact with the new national team coach, Jürgen Klopp. Before the training camp, the two had already met for a personal conversation at Säbener Straße.
The most important news, however, remains his health progress: According to Sport BILD, Musiala is back on the road to recovery following an adjustment to his medication.
