There’s a lot of excitement at FC Bayern ahead of the new season. Even though preseason training has been very fragmented due to the many World Cup players who will join the team later. On top of that, there are players dealing with injuries, though they’re all making progress now.
Vincent Kompany, Bayern’s head coach, is highly motivated heading into the new season. He recently expressed this in an interview as part of the preseason preparations.
“We’re a team that plays without fear—and I love that. That energy isn’t always a given, but it’s always been there for us. Now a new season is here—we have to put the past behind us a little and start all over again,” said the Belgian.
So the motivation to work hard again to achieve the maximum is definitely there.
Kompany talks about Davies and Musiala
For FC Bayern to truly aim for maximum success, players like Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala need to return to their former form. In Musiala’s case in particular , numerous observers and experts have noted that he has recently lacked his usual ease.
He underwent a minor procedure over the summer to have the metal removed from his leg. Bayern officials hope that Musiala can now return to his former form. He’s already expected to show how motivated he is during individual training.
Kompany has now reiterated this point. And that doesn’t just apply to Musiala! “Then there are players like Jamal and Phonzy, who are very motivated to get back to their best. I expect all the guys to have an even better season than last year,” said the coach.
This means that, in addition to Musiala, Alphonso Davies—who has also gone through a very difficult phase—is very eager to return to his best form. If these players can play an important role again in the new season, the Bayern coach would have even more options.
