Real Madrid is reportedly not letting up in its pursuit of Michael Olise. An initial offer is expected to reach FC Bayern before the end of the 2026 World Cup—though the Munich club has set a clear bottom line.
Despite all public assurances that they intend to keep the Frenchman, the Spanish record champions appear to be testing Bayern’s resolve. According to a report from Spain, an initial offer for the 24-year-old is expected to arrive at Säbener Straße even while the tournament is still underway.
The latest speculation was sparked by Spanish journalist Látigo Serrano, who discussed Madrid’s plans on his YouTube channel. “The first offer from Real Madrid, as I’ve been told, will be made in the next two weeks—before the end of the World Cup—and will amount to around 180 million euros,” Serrano says in his video.
180 million euros is likely not enough for Bayern
However, such an offer is likely to be rejected by the German record champions. “180 million euros is a huge sum, but FC Bayern will reject any offer that doesn’t exceed 200 million euros,” Serrano emphasizes.
According to the Spaniard, the player’s own behavior will also be decisive. “FC Bayern will be watching over the course of the summer to see what stance the player takes: whether he speaks out, whether he remains silent, whether he asks the club for a transfer, or whether he sends a signal to Madrid,” explains Serrano.
Only a truly massive sum could bring about any movement, he says: “If Florentino were to submit an offer sometime this summer—probably well into August—that exceeds the amount PSG once paid for Neymar, then FC Bayern will sit down and make a decision.”
The Munich club’s stance has recently been clear: Olise will not leave Munich—not even for offers exceeding the 200-million-euro mark. Bayern’s executives have repeatedly described the attacking player as “not for sale”; his contract runs through 2029.
Interestingly, Real Madrid had issued an official statement regarding the rumors surrounding Olise. The club stated on its website last Saturday that it wanted to “make it clear that there has been no direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player, his representatives, or anyone in his inner circle.” The Spanish club also emphasized “the excellent institutional relations” with FC Bayern and expressed regret over the “spread of speculation that does not correspond to reality.”
