Things could get serious on Tuesday: Real president Florentino Perez has announced a mega-bid of 150 million euros. The big question is: will the offer be for Michael Olise – or will the Whites switch to another transfer target after all?
The rumours surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid are persistent. For days now, there has been speculation that the Whites would like to sign the FC Bayern attacking star as their new Galactico, triggered by an announcement by Real president Florentino Perez, who promised after his re-election to make an offer of 150 million euros for a top player in the near future
According to Sky, this move is set to take place on Tuesday, although it remains to be seen which player is actually in the Madrilenians‘ sights
In recent days, there have been many indications that Olise is Perez’s preferred transfer target. The Frenchman played an outstanding season at FC Bayern and is now one of the most sought-after attacking players in Europe. It is therefore not surprising that his name is repeatedly linked with Real Madrid
However, FC Bayern’s stance has been clear for months. The Munich club has repeatedly stressed that Olise is not for sale. Most recently, Bayern president Herbert Hainer publicly rejected the speculation. The club sees the 24-year-old as a central building block for the future and has shown no willingness to negotiate a transfer
Perez faces tricky decision
This is precisely why Perez could now face a dilemma. Should Real actually make an offer for Olise and thus fail, the publicly announced campaign promise would be practically immediately nullified. Madrid are probably aware of this danger

Speculation is therefore currently growing that the Whites could change their plans at short notice. Instead of Olise, Julian Alvarez from Atlético Madrid is now said to be a possible candidate for the 150 million offer. The Argentinian international is apparently also highly regarded at Real and could represent a more realistic transfer target from the point of view of those responsible
For FC Bayern, such a change of course would certainly be the most agreeable solution. Although Munich are still calmly reckoning with the ongoing rumours, they are likely to keep a close eye on developments in Madrid
The decision could now be made on Tuesday: will Perez really send a record offer to Munich or will Real focus on Alvarez after all? One thing is clear: if the offer is indeed made to Olise, FC Bayern’s answer should already be clear.
