After the extension with Dayot Upamecano, the focus is now on the next personnel issues. Max Eberl has now explained how FC Bayern intends to proceed with further contract decisions
The signing of Dayot Upamecano has closed a key construction site, but several contract issues remain unresolved at FC Bayern. At the press conference ahead of the home game against Eintracht Frankfurt, sporting director Max Eberl was asked who his priority would be after Upamecano
The 51-year-old did not want to draw up a clear ranking: „There is no great hierarchy. The contracts of Manuel Neuer, Sven Ulreich, Rapha Guerreiro and Nicolas Jackson expire in the summer. Konrad Laimer and Harry Kane have contracts until 2027. We want and have to make decisions. There are several topics we are working on.“
Eberl thus made it clear that several personnel matters are being examined in parallel – without publicly specifying a concrete order
Several contracts expire
There is an acute need for action with players whose contracts expire in the summer, including Raphael Guerreiro, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich, as mentioned by Eberl. Leon Goretzka will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season, after both sides have already communicated his departure. Nicolas Jackson is likely to return to Chelsea FC as things stand, as Bayern are not planning a permanent signing, according to consistent media reports

Konrad Laimer is still tied up until 2027, but his name keeps cropping up in connection with long-term planning. The cases of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Lennart Karl are different, with those responsible having recently slowed things down
There is no immediate pressure in the case of Kane. The 32-year-old has a contract until 2027, feels at home in Munich and delivers consistently. Bayern also see no pressure to act early in the case of Olise, who has a long-term contract. Karl, on the other hand, automatically receives a contract extension until 2029 when he turns 18.
