FC Bayern is taking a closer look at Rodrigo Dudok Rivero. The 19-year-old winger has now arrived in Munich and has begun his trial training at Säbener Straße.
In fact, FC Bayern officials have made it clear on several occasions that their transfer plans for new signings are largely complete. However, the Munich club isn’t sitting completely idle in the transfer market. The record champions are still keeping an eye out, especially for young players with development potential.
One such player is Rodrigo Dudok Rivero. Just a few days ago, it was reported that the 19-year-old would be traveling to Munich to showcase his skills during a trial with FC Bayern. Now, the young Uruguayan player has indeed arrived at Säbener Straße.
Dudok Rivero has begun his trial with the German record champions. The attacking player documented his stay himself and posted a photo on Instagram from the training field on Säbener Straße.
This will allow club officials to get a first-hand impression of whether the youngster could be a promising prospect for FC Bayern in the future.
Bayern is taking a close look at Dudok Rivero
According to information from Uruguayan journalist Santiago Acevedo, Dudok Rivero is scheduled to stay in Munich for about ten days. A decision on a possible signing is therefore unlikely to be made until Bayern has had sufficient opportunity to observe the winger in training.
Dudok Rivero is currently under contract with Racing Club de Montevideo. However, his contract is set to expire at the end of the year. Should he impress the club officials in Munich, several options would therefore be possible. Bayern could try to sign the 19-year-old this summer for a modest transfer fee. Alternatively, a free transfer after his contract expires would be possible.
On the field, the Uruguayan’s greatest asset is his versatility in attack. His preferred position is on the left wing, but he can also play on the right side or as a deep-lying forward.

In his home country, Dudok Rivero has recently been making an increasing impact at the professional level. He has also played for several of Uruguay’s youth national teams and has already represented his country’s U-17, U-18, and U-20 teams.
The fact that Bayern is now actually putting the youngster through his paces at Säbener Straße doesn’t automatically mean a transfer will happen. The trial first and foremost gives the club the opportunity to get a detailed picture of his qualities without taking on too much risk.
For Dudok Rivero himself, however, this is a great opportunity to prove his worth to a top European club. If he impresses during his stay, the trial—which is currently non-binding—could actually turn into a surprise transfer to Bayern.
