Rounding up the transfer news from the morning of 22 July 2022, we have found interesting discussions around several players

Although FC Bayern’s most recent offer for Konrad Laimer was around 23m€ inclusive of all additional bonuses, this will be their highest bid and they will not raise it any further. However, Leipzig are holding out for 30m€ and regardless of this asking price, are extremely tempted by the offer instead of losing the Austrian midfielder on a free transfer next year. According to SportBild, Laimer moving to FC Bayern in the next few weeks is still very highly likely

Meanwhile, TSG fullback David Raum is about to join Leipzig, quashing any rumours of FC Bayern snapping up the German international as competition at left-back to Alphonso Davies following the departure of Omar Richards to Nottingham Forest. Fabrizio Romano has given his ‚here-we-go‘ and negotiations are at its final stages

Harry Kane is still a topic for FC Bayern this time next year, when he will only have one more year remaining on his 2024 expiring contract. There have not been any discussions about a move, but FC Bayern have enquired the player’s agents about a potential transfer and this was met positively. Both Julian Nagelsmann and Brazzo can convince Harry Kane to leave the EPL, and a big point of discussion is the Bundesliga title being almost guaranteed, as Tottenham haven’t won any so far. They believe this will have a big impact on the transfer next year

A move for Frenkie de Jong is financially unfeasible after the spending so far this window, and with the midfield positions already covered, there were no talks or enquiries with the player even though interest remains high. If either Leon Goretzka or Joshua Kimmich were to leave or have a significant injury in the next few years, de Jong will almost certainly be the first name on the list
