Contract talks between Serge Gnabry and Bayern Munich have been ongoing for almost six months now, and no agreement has been reached yet. According to reports, the club and the player are too far apart when it comes to salary.
The German international reportedly earns 8 million euros a year with the record champions. Gnabry would like to move up to the same salary category as Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sane in the future. According to reports, the two stars earn between 18-20 million euros.
SportBild & Christian Falk report that Bayern Munich have already offered Serge Gnabry almost the double of his current salary, which would raise it up to 15 millions a year. Unfortunately, Gnabry seems to have refused that amount, as he wants to be paid similarly to the Frenchman and his German compatriot in Munich.
According to SportBild, the talks between Gnabry and Bayern are currently pending, but they are set to resume over the next two weeks. Gnabry himself told the media recently to ‚Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung‘ that his contract situation will be dragging for quite a while.
At this point, if nothing is agreed by then, it is likely that Gnabry will leave in the summer. Real Madrid are said to have been most seriously interested, even though there have been no talks as of now. Juventus and Liverpool are also monitoring the winger.
