Joshua Zirkzee was loaned to Anderlecht in the summer of 2021 and has become one of the best players of the Belgian club.
Despite the great performances at the Belgian club, Bayern Munich want to sell the player and generate profit. The Dutch sees it similarly, according to him, he has established very well at Anderlecht and has received the playing minutes he needed. In an interview for the Dutch radio station ‚NOS‘ [via SPORT1], Zirkzee said that it wouldn’t make sense for him to return to his former club.
„I get a lot of minutes here, that was my goal. I don’t think it makes much sense to go back to Bayern after a season in which I played a lot“
Zirkzee’s contract runs until 2023, the club will be most likely considering selling him. There were rumors that Anderlecht would like to extend his loan, but Bayern would rather prefer the former. Nevertheless, Zirkzee leaves his future open: „I just want to play and I’ll see where is the best place to do that. We will talk after the season.”
According to SPORT BILD, Bayern want 5 to 10 million euros for Zirkzee and will be looking to sell him in the summer.
