FC Bayern wins the last game of the league phase in the Champions League 2:1 at PSV Eindhoven. The Bayern stars in the FCBinside individual review.
Jonas Urbig: Kept the Bayern goal in place of captain Neuer. First had to defuse a shot from Dest in the first half. Shortly afterwards, Urbig produced an absolutely brilliant save from a dangerously deflected shot from Veerman – the youngster spectacularly fished the arcing shot out of the corner of the net. Urbig then made another good save from Saibari. Before the break, he produced another world-class save: the 22-year-old deflected Perisic’s header next to the goal after a great flying save. Saibari’s shot to make it 1-1 was unstoppable. Set up the 2-1 through Kane with a precise deflection to Diaz. Therefore for Urbig’s world-class performance. Grade: 1

Tom Bischof: Started at right-back. Had his side under control defensively. On one foray forward in the first half, Bischof finished too hastily. But also played several good passes forward, including in the build-up to the 1-0 through Musiala. Good game from Bischof! Grade: 2
Dayot Upamecano: Picked up a yellow card in the first half when he stopped Dest at the highest level just outside the penalty area. Was otherwise focused in his tackles and didn’t let anything get to him. Stable performance. Grade: 3
Jonathan Tah: Had everything under control in the center of defence and didn’t make any mistakes. Solid game. Grade: 3
Hiroki Ito: Concentrated mainly on defensive work as a left-back. Had enough to do with it, PSV often attacked via his side and the Japanese player’s positioning was in need of improvement on several occasions. Ito took over Upamecano’s position in central defence after he was substituted. Ito was unable to block Saibari’s shot when conceding the goal to make it 1:1. Mark: 4
Joshua Kimmich: Played several clever passes. Tried a long-range shot in the first half, but it landed next to the goal. Kimmich and Pavlovic were unable to prevent the attack before the 1-1. The duo were too passive. Nevertheless, for Kimmich’s spirited performance Grade: 3
Aleksandar Pavlovic: Tested Kovar with a long-range shot, but the Eindhoven goalkeeper had no problem with it. Pavlovic cleared a dangerous scene shortly before the break with a strong sliding tackle in his own penalty area. Pavlovic was strong on the run, confident in his passing and worked diligently. However, he did not look good together with Kimmich when conceding the goal. Overall grade: 3
Lennart Karl: Had numerous touches of the ball in the first half and was on the move a lot on the right side of the attack, but often missed the decisive pass or opted for the wrong action. However, that changed at 1-0, which Karl set up with a one-two pass with Musiala. That was a class act. Karl then had another spectacular finish, but Kovar was just able to hold his shot. In the end, it was a convincing performance from Karl. Grade: 2

Jamal Musiala: Back in the Bayern starting eleven for the first time since his serious injury in the summer. Was very agile and strong on the ball – Musiala has not forgotten that during his break! Musiala also showed his outstanding technique when he scored to make it 1-0 for Bayern. After a one-two with Karl, he finished irresistibly and hammered the ball into the Dutch side’s net. Grade: 2
Luis Diaz : He was committed and aggressive, but could hardly create any dangerous attacking scenes for a long time. The Colombian then set up Kane’s 2-1 very well, which made his combative performance a good game. Grade: 2
Nicolas Jackson: The Africa Cup winner surprisingly started instead of Kane. He had a good chance in the first half, but his left-footed shot from the edge of the box was too central and therefore no problem for PSV keeper Kovar. Otherwise, the Senegalese was out of the picture and failed to convince. Mark: 4
Substitute
Harry Kane (62nd for Jackson): Subbed on, scored the winning goal – and what a goal it was. A real Kane. Good joker effort. mark: 2
Serge Gnabry (62nd for Musiala): Moved and tried hard, but without great penetration. 3
Michael Olise (62nd for Karl): Gave full throttle immediately after coming on and forced goalkeeper Kovar into a save with a powerful low shot. Not so noticeable after that. Mark: 3
Alphonso Davies (62nd for Upamecano): Was inconspicuous after his substitution, but played flawlessly. 3
Sacha Boey (62nd for Ito): Came on too late to score
