Dusan Vlahovic has recently been repeatedly linked with FC Bayern. Now, a lucrative offer from Turkey appears to be luring the Serbian striker.
Dusan Vlahovic’s future remains one of the most exciting topics on the transfer market. The Juventus striker, who has been repeatedly touted as a potential candidate for FC Bayern in recent months, apparently has an extremely lucrative offer on the table.
According to LaGazzetta dello Sport, Besiktas Istanbul is making an all-out effort to sign the Serbian. The report states that the historic Turkish club is offering the striker an annual salary of ten million euros, as well as a signing bonus of at least five million euros.
In Istanbul, Vlahovic would also be reunited with an old acquaintance. Vincenzo Italiano, the coach under whom the striker once made his breakthrough at AC Florence, is currently in charge there. In 22 games under Italiano, Vlahovic scored 17 goals at the time.
However, a quick decision is not expected anytime soon.
Vlahovic continues to hope for a top club
According to the report, the 26-year-old is currently still hesitating because he wants to continue his career at the highest level. Above all, the prospect of no longer playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues and competing only in the Europa League is said to be giving him pause.
Reportedly, Vlahovic is still hoping for an offer from a top European club.
Most recently, Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, and FC Bayern, among others, have been linked to the striker. However, the Serbian’s financial demands are said to have been considered too high by several interested clubs.
Juventus also appears to be continuing its efforts to find a solution. After talks about a contract extension were temporarily considered to have failed, the Turin club is said to have presented its striker with a new offer.
FC Bayern has been mentioned repeatedly in recent reports
According to information from *Gazzetta dello Sport*, Juventus is offering its top earner a new one-year contract with an annual salary of up to eight million euros, including bonus payments.
Vlahovic currently earns around twelve million euros per season, making him the highest-paid player in Serie A. To remain in Turin, however, he would have to accept significant financial concessions.
On the field, the Serbian has had mixed years at Juventus. Since his transfer from Fiorentina in the winter of 2022, he has scored 68 goals in 168 competitive matches. A solid record, but one that falls short of the expectations associated with the transfer fee of around 85 million euros at the time.
His name has also come up repeatedly in connection with FC Bayern recently. Following Nicolas Jackson’s departure, the Munich club is said to have scouted the market for an additional attacking option behind Harry Kane.
According to media reports, there were even talks in May between Bayern officials and the player’s camp. Recently, however, the speculation has died down significantly. With Ismael Saibari, another attacking player is already set to join the club at Säbener Straße.
Whether Vlahovic will ultimately stay in Turin, make the move to Turkey, or wait for another top European club remains completely up in the air at this point.
