FC Bayern are currently being linked with numerous players from all over the world. Here is an overview of all the record champions‘ transfer targets
Even though the winter transfer window is now open, FC Bayern are highly unlikely to make any more big-name additions. The loan of Bara Sapoko Ndiaye should remain the only deal
As those responsible have already emphasized several times, they are satisfied with the squad and have ruled out any major new signings in the winter
Instead, the focus is already on potential transfers for the coming summer. From central defense to forward, FC Bayern has at least one name in almost every position on its list
Does Bayern need a successor to Upamecano?
Dayot Upamecano’s contract expires in the summer of 2026. An extension at FCB is not unlikely, but is far from certain. Should he or his fellow central defender Minjae Kim leave the club, Bayern would urgently need a replacement
The most frequently mentioned name in this regard is probably Nico Schlotterbeck, whose contract with Borussia Dortmund expires in the summer of 2027, which would give BVB the last chance to earn money with him this year if the German international does not want to stay in the Ruhr metropolis
As Schlotterbeck recently explained on Prime Video, he has „the goal of winning a championship in Germany“ – a goal that he is only likely to achieve with FC Bayern, at least in the medium term

The name Marc Guéhi is also frequently mentioned in Munich. The Crystal Palace defender is highly sought-after throughout Europe and is also a candidate at Säbener Straße. His departure from South London seems all but sealed. He almost ended up at Liverpool FC last summer. However, he is apparently prioritising a transfer to Real Madrid at the moment. A move to Bayern is therefore rather unlikely, at least as things stand
Depending on how Castello Lukeba develops, he could also become an option for Munich in the summer. According to information from BILD, he has a release clause of 80 million euros from 2026. So if the Leipzig centre-back continues to impress as he did in the first half of the season, a signing would be conceivable. However, there have not yet been any concrete talks
For the right side of defence, Munich are apparently keeping an eye on Givairo Read from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The 19-year-old is seen as a possible replacement for Sacha Boey, who is set to leave the club in the summer. According to Sky, Bayern bosses are already in advanced talkswith Read’s entourage
Who will fill the hole in defensive midfield?
As in central defence, a departure is imminent in FC Bayern’s defensive midfield, with Leon Goretzka very unlikely to extend his contract, which runs until the summer. A whole host of players are being touted as possible replacements
For example, Valentin Barco could soon be wearing the FCB shirt. The 21-year-old Argentinian is under contract with Racing Strasbourg and can also play on the left side of defence in addition to his favourite position, central midfield. He is considered one of the most interesting left-footed players in Europe. The club could therefore also sign a replacement for Raphaël Guerreiro should he also leave the Bavarian capital in the summer
Kennet Eichhorn is a man who is likely to be known to many more fans in Germany. At the age of just 16, he regularly plays in midfield for Hertha BSC and has not only attracted the interest of top German clubs with his performances. European heavyweights such as Real Madrid and PSG are also said to be interested. Hertha are therefore planning to increase the current release clause once again

The next candidate for the defensive midfield comes from Brazil. With 34 professional appearances, Zé Lucas has already gained a little more experience than Eichhorn. The captain of the Brazilian U17 national team is currently still playing for Sport Recife, but is being closely watched by FC Bayern, Borussia Dortmund and FC Barcelona. The bottom of the Brazilian Serie A table would apparently be willing to negotiate from 15 million euros
With Nathan de Cat from RSC Anderlecht, Munich have another 17-year-old in their sights. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany knows him well from his time at Anderlecht, but has a problem: Aston Villa are said to be preparing a concrete offer for the defender. Around 25 million euros are currently being discussed
Bayern looking for offensive reinforcement
Although FC Bayern’s offense is rolling like never before this season, the bosses are looking intensively for reinforcements. In particular, they are looking for a backup for Luis Díaz, and Munich could find what they are looking for in the Bundesliga
In Saïd El Mala, 1. FC Köln have signed one of Germany’s hottest talents. After conquering the 3rd division with Viktoria Köln last season, the 19-year-old left winger is now showing that he can also shine in the Bundesliga. He would probably be available for at least 30 million euros in the summer, but if El Mala continues to perform so strongly, this sum could rise significantly

Also at home in the Bundesliga is Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The 19-year-old Ivorian has sparked interest in Munich. According to transfer insider Florian Plettenberg, however, he is far too expensive for a backup with a price tag of „well over 100 million euros“. A move to FCB is therefore currently „not hot“, as Plettenberg explained
Malick Fofana is a player in whom Bayern had already expressed concrete interest last summer. Alongside Díaz, he was considered one of the hottest candidates for the left wing-back position. The 20-year-old is still under contract with Olympique Lyon – a club that is struggling financially and therefore narrowly escaped relegation last summer. A sale of Fofana could therefore help
Will Bayern get a Kane backup?
The position behind Harry Kane will once again be the subject of discussion next summer. Nicolas Jackson is currently unlikely to stay, which is why Bayern will once again be on the lookout for a Kane backup
Bayern scouts are also active in Brazil for this position. Raya from Vasco da Gama is another Brazilian talent who has been linked with the record champions. According to Sport BILD , the 19-year-old striker is on Bayern’s list, but the asking price is still too high for the bosses, who are currently demanding between 45 and 50 million euros
Alternatively, Franculino Djú could find his way to the Isar. He is currently under contract with FC Midtjylland and has even been observed by Bayern scouts on site. But representatives from other top international clubs such as Dortmund and Liverpool were also in the stands. Sports director Jacob Larsen recently confirmed the interest from Munich: „FC Bayern is one of several – that’s probably right.“

However, the Kane backup may also come from the Bundesliga, as FC Bayern have set their sights on TSG Hoffenheim strikerFisnik Asllani. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently revealed his admiration for the Kosovan. „A good player, scores a lot of goals, a clever lad who has developed very well,“ said Freund
Exciting summer ahead
In view of the numerous names circulating at Säbener Straße, Bayern fans can look forward to an eventful summer. However, everything stands and falls with the possible departures. Will Leon Goretzka really leave the club? Will Upamecano not extend his contract either? What will happen to reserves such as Nicolas Jackson, Raphaël Guerreiro and Sacha Boey?
All these questions will be answered in the summer – and at the same time raise new questions about their successors. It will be interesting to see!
