Chris Führich is currently not only shining with his performances at VfB Stuttgart, the winger has also caught the eye of FC Bayern with his brief appearances for the national team. The DFB’s new number 11 can clearly envisage a move to Munich.
There have been severalreports recently about FC Bayern’s interest in Chris Führich from VfB Stuttgart. But would a move to Munich perhaps be a step too far for the new international?
According to Sky, Führich is confident of a move to Munich. However, an agreement is still a long way off, as Bayern first need a new coach.
However, if the new coach pushes for a Führich transfer, a transfer of the attacking player to the Isar could be on the cards. According to the report, FC Bayern are initially planning to play Leroy Sané and Kingsley Coman on the left flank.
Chris Führich to FC Bayern? Effenberg is sceptical
Meanwhile, not everyone is convinced that Führich could make a move to the German record champions. TV pundit Stefan Effenberg recently advised the Stuttgart professional against a move to the Bavarian capital. The former Bayern captain told t-online: „He will certainly make the move from Stuttgart to a permanent Champions League representative at some point, possibly even to FC Bayern.“ Effenberg gave Führich some advice: „For his own development, however, I would strongly advise him to continue his journey at VfB for a while longer.“
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth recently hinted on Sky that this could well be the case. When asked whether he expected Führich to stay beyond the summer, he replied: „I assume so!“
