One reason why Bayern bosses are not ruling out the possibility of parting with their long-serving key player is that there is to be a change in the midfield hierarchy in the future. In the future, they want to rely on Aleksandar Pavlovic as a permanent pillar in the defensive midfield. The 19-year-old came to the fore in his debut season and is currently even displacing Joshua Kimmich in the right-back position.

At the same time, the club is still planning to sign Konrad Laimer. The Austrian joined from RB Leipzig in the summer and has a contract until 2027, but has not yet been able to establish himself in the starting eleven of the German record champions. The situation is similar with Leon Goretzka. Although there have been frequent rumours in the past about the German international’s departure, the former Schalke player is said to enjoy a high status within the club. His contract in Munich runs until 2026.
