Max Eberl and Christoph Freund currently have their hands full. Parallel to the search for a coach, they are already planning the squad for the coming season. It has now been revealed that transfer talks with Juventus have recently taken place.

According to consistent media reports, several stars of the German record champions are being scrutinised internally. Supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently emphasised that many players „lack the necessary hunger“. The 68-year-old therefore believes that Eberl and Co. are facing a very challenging summer of transfers.

Juve are watching several Bayern stars

According to the Corriere dello Sport, there was a recent meeting between the club bosses of Bayern Munich and Juventus Turin. According to the report, Juve official Cristiano Giuntoli was in Munich during the Champions League match against Lazio Rome to enquire about several Bayern players.

The players in question are said to be Leon Goretzka, Leroy Sané and Noussair Mazraoui – plus Joshua Zirkzee, who is under contract with FC Bologna but has a buy-back clause with Bayern.

Who’s time in Munich coming to an end?

The three Bayern players have recently been repeatedly linked with a move away.

In the case of Leroy Sané, the upcoming contract negotiations are likely to be decisive in determining whether the 28-year-old will become a candidate for sale in the summer. The winger’s contract expires in 2025.

Leon Goretzka, on the other hand, has long been considered a possible candidate to leave Bayern. Even though the 29-year-old has repeatedly emphasised in the past that he feels at home in Munich, his performances are said to be criticised internally. Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg said: „It will affect someone: Kimmich or Goretzka – regardless of whether they have to go, should go or want to go.“

Noussair Mazraoui’s time in Munich could also come to an end in the summer. The Moroccan has repeatedly struggled with injury concerns, while the right-back position has been filled by Sacha Boey, Konrad Laimer and Joshua Kimmich. Josip Stanisic will also return to Säbener Straße in the summer after his loan spell at Leverkusen.

Joshua Zirkzee has been playing for FC Bologna since 2022 and has impressed with strong performances in the current season. Several top clubs are said to have their sights set on the striker. According to Transfermarkt.de, the Dutchman has a market value of €40 million. However, FCB could draw on a buy-back clause, which is said to be between 20 and 25 million euros.
