The German record champions‘ squad planning for the 2024/25 season is a big topic at the moment, with many personnel issues being hotly debated at the club. The name Jamal Musiala, who is the focus of several top English clubs, has also been mentioned.

One top English club in particular is likely to be delighted with a move for the attacking star. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea FC have agreed a 20 per cent sell-on fee with FC Bayern for Musiala’s transfer from the Blues to Munich in 2019.

Despite Musiala’s transfer from London to Munich costing only around €200,000, Chelsea could end up earning a tidy sum if the German international makes another move.

For example, if he were to leave for 100 million euros, FC Bayern would have to pay 20 million euros to Chelsea FC.

FC Bayern desperately want to keep Musiala

It is also clear that FC Bayern wants to do everything in its power to extend the 21-year-old’s current contract until 2026. President Herbert Hainer also stated this at the end of 2023 when he emphasised that the record champions wanted to do everything they could to keep Musiala at the club for as long as possible.

According to Sport BILD, Musiala has two conditions for a contract extension beyond 2026. It is important for him to be one of the club’s top earners. He would like to increase his current salary of five to eight million euros to a whopping 20 million euros per year. In addition, the aim is to create a competitive squad that can compete for all titles. This condition probably means the Champions League in particular.

The two English clubs Manchester City and Liverpool FC in particular have been repeatedly linked with Musiala. It is also no secret that Musiala does not rule out a return to England. However, it is still uncertain when this will happen and whether it will happen at all.

Should it happen, however, Chelsea FC would earn a tidy sum.
